Kites

On Friday, we got our kites out from Grandma Adeline and flew them.

I got mine flying with the whole string out! I didn't have to worry about it falling off because it was tied to the handle. Right when I started flying mine, it got stuck in a tree and we had to pull it out and break the string, but we tied it together.

I tried flying 2 kites at the same time. Raymond's Pooh Bear kite turned upside down and the tail was flying around in the air when it got hooked on my kite. After that, I kept pulling on the Pooh Bear kite and it snapped off (but it didn't break).

I really like flying kites because it's fun to do outside and I think I'm pretty good at it!

my letter to my class in Nebraska

Today I dictated (told my mom what to write) a letter on the computer to send to my class at Hill School. I also wrote a letter in the car last week, and one to my friend Danny from church. I have lots of friends to write to!

Today was my first day of school in North Carolina.
Our school starts at 7:15 here!!! It was still dark out when we woke up and when we went to school the sun was just coming up a little bit! It looked pretty through all the trees.

Here is a picture of me and my new teacher:

And here is a picture of us on the teeter totters at JAARS. JAARS is the place where our apartment is that we are staying in.

Ever eat chicken feet?!?

I went to the grocery store in Lancaster, South Carolina with my mom and we found this package in the meat section!

Mom said she's never heard of selling "chicken paws" for money in a store! (that's what the package said: chicken paws) I think it sounds gross!

Driving to Our New Home

This picture below is me in the car. Dad drove the van (we called everyone in the van the Blue Jays because our van is blue) and he pulled a trailer with all of our stuff in it. Mom drove the car (we called everyone in the car the Black Cats because our car is black). I loved talking on the walkie talkies!

We drove through lots of states and cities. This picture below if from a big city that we drove through in Missouri. Can you guess what city it is?

This last picture is from Kentucky. We stopped here to rest. The place we stopped is where Colonel Sanders (the Kentucky Fried Chicken man) was born and they have a museum here about him, but we did not go to the museum. We were just passing through!
